Does Your Body Need Spring Cleaning?

It’s that time of year where we open our windows and feel the invigorating breeze, clean out the old clutter in our homes, and bring in the new.  As I was cleaning, I thought about how good it felt to clean our home, and wondered what else would feel good?   Then it dawned on me. Spring cleaning is not just about cleaning our homes, but it’s about renewing ourselves.  We can clean out our bodies of harmful toxins, increase our energy, and we can rejuvenate the look and feel of our bodies.  This is the time to make ourselves a priority.

What are Toxins?

Toxins; such as heavy metals, solvents and pesticides can contribute to human disease. Toxins are commonly found at our home, at our job, in our foods, in our air, in our water, and even in utero. It is never a question if you are toxic, but it is a question of how toxic?

While our bodies are designed to detoxify and cleanse toxins on their own, we are finding that our modern, on-the-go lifestyles often prohibit us from doing our part to help our bodies maintain themselves. Most of the time, we don’t realize that toxins are affecting us until we develop a chronic disease after years of subtle and chronic exposures to them.

Am I toxic?

Here are some common signs that it may be time to spring cleanse your body:

-headaches            -fatigue            -obesity

-allergies                -asthma           -acne

-irritability              -body odor       -gas

-bloating                 -constipation

What Might Cause These Symptoms?

There are many factors that need to be considered when searching for the root cause of elimination issues.  Often times the causes can be an intestinal flora imbalance, a poor diet, insufficient water intake, stress or toxins.  My best advice would be to seek out a Naturopathic Physician’s counsel as they look for the root cause of illness.  Their first goal is to assess what a patient’s needs are, identify an individual plan of action and then provide support through any lifestyle changes that a patient desires to make.

A Great Start with Colon Hydrotherapy

One of the first therapies I ever did when I was 18 years old was Colon Hydrotherapy.  I researched my symptoms at the time, and everything said to start here as death started in the colon. Colon Hydrotherapy is a safe and effective method by which waste and toxins are removed from the large intestine without the use of drugs.  Pure, filtered, temperature controlled water is introduced into the colon by means of a sterile, disposable rectal tube to loosen and soften waste resulting in the complete evacuation of fecal material through natural peristalsis.

Why Colon Hydrotherapy?

Before you make changes to your body it is always a good idea to properly cleanse and prepare it for the nutrition you want to provide it. Picture trying to move nice new furniture into a house that hasn’t been cleaned in months and has an old sofa taking up valuable space. That wouldn’t be an environment conducive for healing.

Colon hydrotherapy speeds your body’s natural detoxification and cleansing processes by removing the waste and toxins from your colon while stimulating the body’s own healing abilities.
